Project PBZ-MEiN-4/2/2006 "Supercritical coal fired units"(26-03-2007)
As a member of consortium made up by Poland's leading research and development institures and technical universities, Elsamprojekt Polska has begun R&D work in the government sponsored project no. PBZ-MEiN-4/2/2006 "Supercritical Coal Fired Units". The project is planned for 3 years.

• Services related to preparation and implementation of coal fired boiler retrofit for biomass at Bialystok CHP Plant
• Owners Engineering for two wind farm projects
• Pre-feasibility study for implementation of new unit in Warsaw
• Feasibility study of heat accumulator tank for a large CHP Plant

Elsam transforms into DONG Energy (1-08-2006)
In July 2006, DONG Energy was founded as the result of a merger involving six Danish energy companies – DONG, Elsam, ENERGI E2, Nesa, Copenhagen Energy’s power activities and Frederiksberg Forsyning. It is now Denmark's largest energy company.
